An apparition

Stare at the blue dots while you count slowly to 30.

Now close your eyes and tilt your head back. A circle of light will slowly appear. Focus on it, and look into it.

What do you see?

Try this again, but look at a white wall after 30 seconds. Do you still see it?

This is an uneven white shape with nine black blotches and lines of differing shapes within it on a black, essentially circular, background. However this indistinct shape can appear to be an ‘apparition’ of a man – perhaps Jesus - and when a viewer closes their eyes - or looked at a white wall - they see a negative after-image. The areas that were white now look black. Even after discerning the image of a man in this picture, it is still possible to see it as just a white uneven blob on a black background.
